Bakrid Holiday on 25.09.2015 Friday, declared by AP and Telangana Govts. Bakrid Public Holiday 2015 is declared on Friday 25th September 2015 instead of 24th September 2015 in both AP and TS. Bakrid General Holiday/Bakrid Public Holiday is given under Negotiable Instrument Act 1881 in both states. Muslims will celebrate Bakrid festival all over the world.

ORDER:
In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have issued orders declaring 24.09.2015 (Thursday) as Holiday on the occasion of Bakrid (Id-UI-Azha) under Negotiable Instrument Act 1881.

In the letter 2nd read above, the Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board, Hyderabad has requested to declare 25.09.2015 (Friday) instead of 24.09.2015 (Thursday) as Holiday on the occasion of Bakrid(Id-UI-Azha) as per moon sight.




The Government, after careful consideration of the matter, have decided to change the Holiday on the occasion of Bakrid(Id-UI-Azha) on 25.09.2015 (Friday) instead of 24.09.2015 (Thursday) under the Explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881). Accordingly, the following notification is issued and shall be published in the extra-ordinary Gazette of Andhra Pradesh State

Bakrid Holiday NOTIFICATION
In partial modification of the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.3957, General Administration (Poll.A) Department, dated:05.12.2014 notifying the Holidays, the Government hereby notify 25.09.2015 (Friday) to be observed as Holiday on the occasion of Bakrid (Id-UI-Azha) instead of 24.09.2015 (Thursday), notified earlier, under N.I. Act.
