Warangal Municipal Corporation Elections 2016/Khammam Municipal Corporation Elections 2016/GWMC Elections 2016 will be held on the 6th March 2016. Warangal, Khammam Corporation Elections Notification 2016 and schedule was released on 21.02.2016. Nomination submission process has already been ended for Khammam and Warangal Corporation Elections 2016.

Paid Holiday is declared on the election day 6.03.2016 for Warangal Municipal Corporation Elections 2016/Khammam Municipal Corporation Elections 2016 to enable people to cast their vote in these elections. The TS govt has issued instructions for Holiday on the polling day on 6th March 2016.

Khammam Municipal Corporation Ward wise Reservations for General/BC/SC/ST/Woman details were released by G.O Ms.No.200 Dated 19.12.2015. There are 50 wards in Khammam municipal corporation, out of these 50 wards, 25 wards are reserved for Woman candidates and 25 wards are reserved for other reserved candidates. There are 58 wards in Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation area. 1350 candidates from all political parties have been filed nominations for Warangal Municipal Corporation Elections 2016. Warangal Municipality is one of the oldest Municipalities in Telengana. It was upgraded as Special Grade Municipality in July 1959 and into a Selection Grade Municipality in July 1960 and declared as Municipal Corporation on August 18, 1994. Khammam was constituted in to a Municipality on 24.03.1942 and upgraded as special grade Municipality in the year 2001. On October 19, 2012 Khammam municipality has been  announced as Municipal Corporation, adding 9 GramPanchayats  around it which developed in business with the town.Presently  Khammam has 20 revenues wards and 50 election division.
